French tennis player Sherazad Reix has been banned from playing for four years for match-fixing.
The ban was imposed by the International Tennis Ingegrity Agency, Le Parisien reports.

Sherazad was found guilty of six match-fixing charges.

She was fined $30,000 and is banned from playing, training coaching or attending any tennis events until January 2027.

By then, she will be 37 years old, which means that her professional career is effectively finished.

The player did not dispute the charges.

About the ITIA

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) is an independent organization established to oversee the integrity of professional tennis. It was created in 2008 in response to concerns about corruption and match-fixing in the sport.

The ITIA is responsible for the administration of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP), which includes rules, procedures, and sanctions to address corrupt practices in tennis.
The agency works with tennis governing bodies, players, and other stakeholders to promote and maintain the integrity of the sport.

The ITIA also investigates reports of corrupt behavior and takes disciplinary action as necessary to preserve the integrity of tennis. The ITIA is based in London and is supported by the governing bodies of professional tennis, including the ATP, WTA, and ITF.
