Expanding its business in Latin America is an important strategic move for digital sports media group Better Collective. The company has announced the appointment of Terence Gargantini as its new Country Manager for Brazil confirming that the group is gaining strength in the region.
Traction in South America
Gargantini will be responsible for growth in the LatAm region, which Better Collective has identified as a “core area” for the company.
He has previously worked with the National Football Team of Brazil and a number of state federations of South America’s most respected professional football clubs that include Brazil’s Flamengos and Corinthians. Prior to that he worked for 10 years with Nike where he spent 6 years at the US company’s Dutch-based European head office. Gargantini also headed the marketing strategy for a number of prominent and international sportswear groups.

Following his career with Nike, Gargantini served as Country Director of Brazil and Latin America at sports broadcaster ElevenSports.com, part of the DAZN Group, and was Business Development Director of FanHero, an ‘over-the-top’ platform that streams a video service for influencers.
The announcement of Gargantini’s appointment follows the opening of a new office for Better Coleective in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s largest city. Gargantini is expected to be pivotal in the company’s expansion in the region as he is able to leverage his experience in South American sports, broadcasting and streaming to achieve Better Collective’s goal of a strengthened presence in South America.

When Better Collective presented its Q1 results, Group CEO Jesper S?gaard likened the emerging Latin American sports scene as having strong parallels to that of Europe. He made it clear that the strategy for company in the LatAm region was growth and scalability. The company already has a large local network in the region and some strong beneficial collaborations.
