New Jersey July gaming revenue up 6.7%, but sports betting declines

Total gaming revenue in New Jersey rose 6.7 percent in July from the prior year, although sports betting wagering declined, according to figures from the Office of the Attorney General.?

Total revenue from casinos, racetracks and their partners was $480.7 million, taking the total year-to-date to $2.91 billion, up 13.7 percent from the prior-year period.?

Casino win for the state’s nine casino hotels rose 8 percent to $299 million, taking the year to date to $1.61 billion, up 16 percent.

Internet gaming win was the best performing segment, gaining 15.2 percent to $136.7 million, although sports betting lagged, with wagering gross revenue down 18.1 percent to $45 million.?

Year-to-date sports wagering has totalled $353.2 million, down 16.6 percent.?
